By using TermOnMac ("the Software"), you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Terms of Service
1. Service Modifications
The developers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Software at any time, including but not limited to token allocations, usage limits, features, and pricing. Changes take effect upon release of an updated version or server-side deployment. Continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
2. Token Usage
Tokens or credits provided through the Software are granted at the sole discretion of the developers. Tokens have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash or any other consideration. The developers may adjust token quantities, expiration periods, or distribution schedules at any time without prior notice.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes. You shall not attempt to circumvent usage limits, abuse token distribution mechanisms, or use the Software in any manner that disrupts the service for other users.
4. Account Termination
The developers may suspend or terminate your access to the Software at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these terms. Upon termination, any remaining tokens or credits are forfeited.
5. Privacy
The Software collects only the minimum data necessary to provide the service, including account credentials, connection metadata (timestamps, IP address, user agent), and usage analytics linked to your account. Personal data is not sold to third parties. The macOS companion stores a local input history log (up to 32 KB per session) on your Mac; this data never leaves your devices. For full details, refer to the Privacy Policy. You may delete your account at any time from the Account settings; deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period during which you may cancel the request.
6. Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Software. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
7. Third-Party Services
The Software integrates with third-party services, including but not limited to GitHub and Google for authentication, and relay servers for connection brokering. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. The developers are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.
8. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Taiwan Taipei District Court.
9. Changes to Terms
The developers may update these terms at any time. For material changes, notice will be provided within the Software at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Subscription Terms
10. Subscription Plans
The Software offers optional paid subscription plans (e.g., Pro and Premium) that provide additional features and higher usage quotas. Subscription plan details, including pricing and included features, are displayed within the Software at the time of purchase.
11. Payment and Billing
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
12. Free Trials and Promotional Offers
If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Promotional pricing, if available, applies only for the initial period stated and renews at the standard rate thereafter.
13. Refunds
All subscription purchases are processed through Apple. Refund requests are handled in accordance with Apple's refund policy. The developers do not process refunds directly.

Disclaimer
15. Remote Access Risks
The Software grants significant control over the target Mac via a remote terminal session. Unauthorized access — whether due to software defects, network vulnerabilities, or credential compromise — may result in data loss, system modification, or other damage.
16. Encryption Limitations
Although the Software uses end-to-end encryption (Curve25519 ECDH + AES-256-GCM), no cryptographic system is guaranteed to be completely secure. The developers do not warrant that communications cannot be intercepted or decrypted.
17. Credential Security
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your room credentials, pairing QR codes, and device access. The developers are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from credential mismanagement.
18. Data Loss
Commands executed through the remote terminal may modify or delete files on the target Mac. The developers are not responsible for any data loss or corruption resulting from the use of this Software.
19. No Warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
20. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE.
